History

Established in 1987 and chartered as members of Sweet Adelines International in 1989, The Foothills Harmony Chorus has performed and entertained throughout the Upstate and Georgia. They sing a variety of music: unaccompanied, in four part harmony, barbershop style. Members of the chorus represent diverse vocations and backgrounds, and several Upstate geographical locations.

As member of Sweet Adelines International, the chorus attends regional and international educational events and competition. They have won the Novice Chorus Award, third place Small Chorus Award, and Most Improved Chorus Award at Regional Competition.

Sweet Adelines International is the largest women’s singing organization in the world: with chapters throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Asia. They are committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance.
